Making an autonomous agent system legible.

JourneyThe AI that ships with your team · April 2022 — today

Journey is an orchestration platform for AI-assisted software development, built in Toronto. The problem: AI coding tools sped up individual output without guaranteeing that collective work converges to production. Sitting above existing tools (Claude Code, Cursor, Codex), Journey structures the whole delivery cycle: upfront framing and architectural risk analysis, orchestrating agents and engineers on isolated branches, quality gates before every merge, PR sequencing and root-cause debugging — with progressive autonomy, from full human supervision to auto-merge.

I work on the user experience and product language of this highly technical tool, with one central challenge: translating the operations of an autonomous agent system into an intelligible, predictable interface.

My scope: system-language design (notifications, errors, states — turned into clear, actionable messages) · onboarding journey (sequenced wizard, product-area hierarchy, all supporting copy) · team-coordination flows (feature intake, related-work detection, neutral arbitration) · French localisation and a dynamic language-adaptation system · and continuous product contribution, using the platform daily in real conditions.
